Do's & Dont's After Coronavirus Vaccine
  • Covid-19

Introduction

The two Indian- made coronavirus vaccines that are- Coaxing and Covishield have been approved to be made available to the general public. These vaccines were expected to build immunity and provide protection from covid-19 virus and as of now both the vaccines have proven to be effective and have proven to be far more useful than they were expected to. The reason that both the vaccines are successful is that they had gone through various trials and tests and then made available. Vaccines will provide us protection but there are some precautions after covishield vaccine and precautions after covaxin vaccine and do’s and don’ts that one needs to follow before and after taking the vaccine.

Tips to follow before vaccine

It’s important to remember that getting vaccinated not only protects you from covid-19, but it also protects your loved ones. The vaccination should not be taken on an empty stomach. Before you have your vaccination, eat a healthy meal. Include green vegetables, which are highly nutritious and can aid to enhance immunity.Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water. At night, have a nice, restful night’s sleep. A good night’s sleep has been scientifically proved to help improve immunity. To make receiving the injection on your arm easier, wear a sleeveless or short-sleeved shirt or dress. Most importantly don’t forget to keep your appointment certificate and identity proof before going to the vaccination centre.

What to do after vaccine (Both after Covishield and  after covaxin)

After you’ve been vaccinated, you’ll have to wait 15-30 minutes in an observation area. This is done to keep track of your reaction to the vaccine and ensure you don’t have any serious adverse effects. While severe adverse effects are extremely rare, they are most likely to emerge during the first 30 minutes of vaccination. If you stay in the observation area, you’ll have access to competent assistance in the unlikely event that you need it. Twenty- four hours after getting the vaccine, make sure you don’t over exert yourself and take proper rest intervals between working hours. Consult a doctor immediately if you experience any severe side effects and before taking any medication.

Do’s and Don’ts after Covishield

After receiving two doses of corona virus vaccination, the precautions after covishield vaccine are very important.  The most important precautions after taking covishield and after taking covaxin are to maintain wearing masks.

People often suffer moderate fever, body ache, chills, and weariness after getting vaccinated — if not all of them, then at least some of them. Some people report feeling nauseous and disoriented after receiving the vaccine, as well as a severe discomfort in their arm. These side effects are not a concern; they are simply indicators that your body is naturally responding to the vaccination, which is necessary for it to function correctly. These are only after-effects, rather than side-effects.

One important precaution after covishield vaccine to remember is to not be hard on your body or force it to function right after you’ve been vaccinated. If you have persistent muscular pains, tiredness, or weakness, avoid strenuous workouts and activities. Pay attention to your body’s signals. Get as much sleep as you need and take care to recover fast from the coronavirus vaccine’s side effects. Your immune system has to relax as much as possible in order to absorb and use the vaccine’s advantages.

Alcohol should not be consumed until a few days following your first vaccination injection, or better until both doses have been completed, according to experts. It is recommended to wait a week or two before ingesting alcohol, if not the entire period, to allow the body to adjust to the effects of the coronavirus vaccine.

Common Possible Side effects

The people who get the jab of vaccine are expected to experience some effects but it is not necessary that everyone experiences it. The side effects are bearable and worth to experience because experiencing side effects means the immune system has started making antibodies against the coronavirus.  Some side effects include fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, body ache, redness on the area where you got the injection, etc. In some rare cases, you may experience some severe side effects but it is not a thing to worry about. Just consult your doctor and do as he directs.

Conclusion

It is more important than ever to pay attention to your body and take better care of it than normal. If you feel like doing nothing except resting, go ahead and do it. Don’t put yourself in danger because the situations are tough. Wear masks, exercise social distance, and keep a positive frame of mind even when the going gets tough. Few sacrifices after getting the covidshield vaccine or after taking the covaxin vaccine can help you keep yourself and your family safe from the fatal disease. Don’t be afraid to take the vaccine and get a shot when you get an opportunity.
